Welcome to The Vine!
Whether you've never set foot in a church or you're searching for a new community to call home, we're thrilled to have you here.
We are a new church plant that began meeting in our pastor’s home in March 2024 and now meets on Sundays in the same neighborhood at Williams Elementary School.
At The Vine, we're all about genuine connections, meaningful conversations, and exploring faith in a way that feels authentic to you. No matter where you are on your journey, you're welcome to join us as we navigate life together, grow in our understanding of God's love, and make a positive impact in our world.
Come just as you are – we can't wait to meet you!
Who We Are
The Vine is a non-denomational church plant with charismatic roots, a modern worship style, and a casual atmosphere. We believe in the importance of preaching & teaching God’s Word, creating a family-friendly environment, and advancing God’s Kingdom through seeking the lost.
Our Vision:
Bringing reconciliation and redemption to a broken and fallen world.
Our Mission:
Proclaiming new life in Christ!
Our Values:
We join what God is doing.
We emphasize the Bible and the Holy Spirit.
Everyone’s gift advances God’s Kingdom.
We are an outward-focused community.
Our church experience is authentic and worshipful.
We are all on a journey, so come as you are.
Statement of Faith
While we are currently a non-denominational church, we align closely with the Vineyard USA Statement of Faith.
SOME PEOPLE YOU’LL MEET…

Joel Hopkins
PASTOR
Joel has been working in church ministry for 20 years. It’s always been his dream to one day plant a church that is both Bible-based and Spirit-led. Joel has a passion for preaching God’s Word and seeing people come to Jesus.
Joel holds a BA in Pastoral Ministries (with minor in Biblical Greek) from the Moody Bible Institute and an MA in Christian Formation and Ministry (specializing in Greek/Hebrew Exegesis) from Wheaton College graduate school.
In his free time, Joel likes to play tennis, board/card games, and root for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Joel and his wife, Ellen, have two daughters and have lived in Viera for almost a decade. They all enjoy using their talents at The Vine.

Nathan & Kate Burris
WORSHIP LEADERS
Kate has been singing all her life and spent her teen years writing songs and playing in coffee shops. Leading worship has been a big part of her life for over a decade. Kate has a real gift for bringing us close to Jesus through worship music.
Nathan plays various instruments from guitar to bass to mandolin, and loves getting to sing more at The Vine. He leads our worship team and plans our services to include authentic, organic worship.
Nathan and Kate have been married for 9 years and have two kids. They met in Auburn, Alabama, and have lived in Florida for four years.
Leading worship was one of the first things they did together as a couple - and today we are blessed to have this pair on our team.
